NAMS Group

The National Asset Management Steering (NAMS) Group was formed in 1995 as a committee of INGENIUM to develop and promote infrastructure asset management practices, policies and systems in New Zealand. Since that time The NAMS Group has led the development of asset management best practice in New Zealand and the resulting products are distributed worldwide. In many cases NAMS Group guidelines set the standard and are the benchmark for infrastructural asset management best practices.
In 2004 The NAMS Group was formed as a company wholly owned by INGENIUM. The NAMS Group Vision, Purpose statement and Objectives are shown below. The NAMS Group recognises that achievement of its objectives relies upon the continued support and co-operation of its stakeholders. With infrastructure asset management now accepted as one of the primary activities underpinning the health and wellbeing of our communities, it is anticipated that organisations involved in infrastructure asset management will support the NAMS Group initiatives and realise the benefits to be gained from a coordinated national approach.
