Background
IDS (Infrastructure Decision Support) Ltd has been set up as a not-for-profit commercial entity for the purpose of expanding the dTIMS project. The company is wholly owned by INGENIUM. IDS has been registered with the Companies Registrar and has achieved Charitable Status under the Charities Act 2005.
Objectives
IDS will look to improve the sustainability of Public Infrastructure Assets by:
- Advocating the use of deterioration modelling and decision making tools at a national (policy) level.
- Developing New Zealand specific deterioration models for a range of infrastructure assets.
- Promoting predictive deterioration modelling as best practice for key infrastructure assets.
- Ensuring access to leading edge deterioration modelling tools is kept within reach of all New Zealand Lo Authorities, regardless of size or in-house technical expertise.
